Every community is shaped by people who care—and few embody this more than Renee Overbeck. An active JNF board member, Renee demonstrates that giving back doesn’t always require grand gestures; small, everyday efforts can make just as much of a difference.

Whether she’s helping out with youth activities alongside her kids or supporting local businesses by checking off the grocery list at Remington IGA, Renee blends care for her community seamlessly into her daily routine.

“I enjoy spending time with my family,” Renee said. “Supporting my kids either at sporting events or 4-H activities and volunteering my time to support the growth and development of our community and county.”

Renee never misses an opportunity to give back, carving out time to serve as a leading voice on the boards of JNF and The Growing Patch Learning Center. Her commitment inspires those around her to look for their own ways to make a difference.

“I wanted to be part of helping their impact continue to grow,“ she said. “Serving our community is important because it strengthens connections and helps meet real needs, builds trust, and contributes to positive change that lasts beyond any one individual.”

Though she goes the extra mile to love where she lives, Renee’s quick to remind us that anyone can be part of meaningful change within their own boundaries.

“Even small contributions can make a meaningful difference. When you invest in your community—whether through time, talents, or resources—you’re helping build something stronger for everyone and leaving a positive impact for future generations,” she said. “I’m excited about the continued growth of local programs, strong partnerships, and the dedication of people who care deeply about making our communities a great place to live, work, and raise families.”

Thank you, Renee, for leading by example and showing us that giving back—no matter how small the act—can be part of our routines and still create lasting change.
