General Scholarships

Bill Hartke / Remington Class of ’64 / Tri-County Scholarships

Scholarships for graduating seniors of Tri-County High School who intend to pursue higher education through a nonprofit college, university, or school of training.

(1) Bill Hartke Memorial Scholarship ($1,000)

A well-loved and respected Math teacher, this scholarship honors Mr. Hartke’s (1943-2007) love of education and his students.

(1) Remington High School Class of 1964 Good Citizen Scholarship ($500)

RHS ’64 members remain committed to academics and good citizenship; Scholarship funds are available after successful completion of the first semester of college.

(10) Tri-County Scholarships ($500)

Carol Long Hathaway Scholarship

Established in 2018. Scholarship for a South Newton graduating senior who is in the top 1/3 of the class academically.

Clifford and Carrie Clark Family Educational Scholarship

Established in 2020. Scholarship for a second-semester Freshman at an accredited Indiana college, university, trade school, or other 2 or 4-year program.  Preference will be given to veterans or active service members including National Guard and to students who lived in Newton County, Indiana. If criteria is not met, other local rural counties will be considered.

Evelyn and Marilyn Erb Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship for Rensselaer Central graduating seniors (must live within the Rensselaer Central School District) who will be attending a 4-year college or university or a 2-year college, trades, or certificate program.
